Deep in the jungles of West Kalimantan is Living Waters Village - a non-profit organization that is home to 700 neglected children. Since it was founded, it has grown to include schools (primary to pre-university), a clinic, a bakery, a nursery, a cement factory, and a complex system of reservoirs for rainwater harvesting.

Genesis Architects is proud to design the Village’s latest facility - 1,200-seater aula (or auditorium) that will support its social, educational and religious activities.

The aula adapts impeccably to its site - and responds to the sloping terrain, the adjacent buildings and other site specific conditions.

The building also incorporates vernacular design and Dayak elements that can be found throughout the Village - reinforcing its identity and sense of place.
